I am sick. My throat is itchy and scratchy, killin itself every freakin
time I talk. My nose is stopped up, my ears are plugged and my stomach
feels like it’s home to a hot ball of fire. But, I’m still going.
It’s my spring break, so I’m taking this opportunity to slow down. I
was supposed to go to the doctor today, but I decided against it since
I know they are gonna make me wait for twenty minutes, check my throat,
tell me I’ve got a head cold and prescribe me some Mytussin and some
Ibruprofen. I’ll just go get some over the counter stuff, soup, juice,
rest and be cool. Last night I stayed up an extra hour to watch the
people who voice the Simpsons on Inside the Actor’s Studio. It was
funny to see them do the voices from behind the actual cartoon and
proved some good entertainment for an evening of boredom. I have a car
now. It’s a 96′ Chevy Corsica. woo hoo, yeah I’ll teach you how to
stunt. Frill though, it’s nice enough to get me where I wanna go
without being embarrased. And I spent an extra lil something to get a
CD player installed in my car, cuz we all know how I like to bump my DJ
PotpourrE™ mixes on the road. It’s nothin fancy, but it’s my
ride and I thank God that I finally have a good working one (that was
used and under 120,000 miles). I got to go to Victoria’s Secret last
month and indulge myself in a couple of treats. I got the new push-up
without padding. I be copping bras from them like new CDs that come
out. “Yo, you see that new IPEX coming out next week? I gotta cop
that!” Actually I haven’t got it, but they sent me a card in the mail
for a pair of free draws and I promptly collected. I went on a job
interview Friday. It was at the Trump Hotel and Casino. I interviewed
for the position of food server (waitress), hotel porter (housekeeping)
and was offered a position at the front desk (overnight check-in
chick). I’m waiting tomorrow to hear if I got the job or not. the desk
and housekeeping jobs pay pretty well, and I think the hours are
flexible enough where I can actually take classes and work, but I’ll
seriously lose out on a lot of my social life, which gets to poppin
every once in a while (but lately has been stiff as a board). Wish me
luck. If I get this job, I can actually afford to take trips to see all
my friends who don’t live up here.
you went to ball state, right? i remember you! where are you now?
