Run for the hilltops, shout it out!

I have a job now. Turns out that the woman at Movie Gallery really did give me some good hiring tips. I got interviewed on the spot and went in to sign some stuff on Thursday. I start monday. I gotta go purchase some khaki pants and a red or white polo shirt. As I said this ain’t like a job that’s gonna put me in the millionaires club, but it’s something for now.

I went to Indianapolis this weekend for a Pre-Paid Legal seminar. Antonio Adair was the guest speaker and not only did he give a lot of good nuggets of wisdom concerning the business, but he also dropped a lot of gems for life. One I liked in particular was “Great minds read, Good minds know events, and Small minds talk about people. There were a lot of messages about personal growth and I think this business not only allows you to grow personally but also professionally. I have decided not to negate myself in thinking that I can’t do this. All of those people who were able to retire early just based on putting maximum effort into helping other people is amazing. I know that I can get there. So I’m gonna keep at it. My goal is to reach Director by the end of September.

My first paycheck doesn’t come until September, but at least I’ll have a lil change for my birthday. I rented some free movies on my unlimited free rentals account and I checked out this movie Boiler Room that a friend suggested to me. He said they had something like a marketing scheme going on and I should watch it. My guess is that he’s very skeptical about the Pre-Paid Legal venture, but I’m not gonna let him be a rock in my backpack. Anyhow I watched it and it was great. I have got to own it on DVD. It reminded me of Americall and Pre-Paid Legal mixed together. I also finally saw the Exorcist. I had been trying forever to watch that movie, but no one ever wanted to see it with me. Go figure. It wasn’t even scary. I was laughing more than anything. Amityville Horror was scarier than that cuz I knew it was based off a true story. Not to say that stuff like in the Exorcist doesn’t exist, but I mean not enough to have me be like, “oh I don’t wanna watch this!”  Well I’d tell more but for now I’m just gonna recommend that you all see Boiler Room. It has Vin Diesel, Giovanni Ribisi and Nia Long. Ben Affleck is in it too, but not a whole lot. So is Jaime Kennedy. Oh and the soundtrack is tight. I dumbed the fuck out when they started playing ‘Award Tour.’

shout me a holler.

  1. Go ‘head girl! That’s wassup. I’ve a job now, too, but I won’t begin until september and then will work in the schools in october after my month long training. But hey, a little prayer works wonders for us, huh? That seminar seems very enlightening. Keep getting enlightened.
